Ubuntu in VPS Hosting
Ubuntu is available with all of our Linux VPS hosting and you can buy a VPS running it in less than an hour. 32-bit and 64-bit editions of the OS are available, so you're able to choose the one that you need if the software that you want to run on your hosting server has specific system requirements regarding this. You may also select if your Ubuntu-powered VPS should be set up without a Control Panel, in which case you'll have full root access and you'll be able to set up anything using a console; or if the Hepsia Control Panel should be set up on it, in which case you will have an online interface and all the required web server, MySQL, FTP, e-mail server, etc. software will be pre-installed. The root access in the second case will be more limited, but this type of installation is more effective for users with less experience. We will also keep your Ubuntu up-to-date regularly when you add the Managed Services upgrade. You will be able to do so during the VPS order process or at any later time using your billing Control Panel.
Ubuntu in Dedicated Web Hosting
Ubuntu is among the OS options which you will find on our registration page when you decide to get one of our Linux dedicated web hosting. We'll set up the 32-bit or the 64-bit release, to match the system requirements of the applications that you wish to install on the server. You may also choose the software which will operate on your machine, as we will install only the Apache web server software, so the rest can be tailor-made software of your choice. You're able to set up the latter without problems through a Secure Shell console, as you will receive root-level access and you will get full control of your hosting server. You are free to set up a web hosting Control Panel as well and manage some things through a graphical interface, as long as it can work on an Ubuntu-driven machine. To make things easier, we also provide a Managed Services upgrade, which, among other things, comes with OS updates.
