The simplest way to provide a third-party with access to the files in a given directory is to create an FTP account and to set website content access restrictions regarding your web hosting space. If you use the services of a web designer, for example, they won’t be given access to any other content or any private information in your account. You can also set up separate FTP accounts to maintain a number of sites built with a desktop web design app like FrontPage or Dreamweaver – each site can be published online and later updated using an FTP account with access to its very own domain folder on the hosting server. All these things will be possible as long as you’re able to set up and administer your FTP accounts without any effort.

FTP Manager in Cloud Hosting

Our custom-developed Hepsia Control Panel, which is included with each cloud hosting plan, will give you access to multiple features to administer your FTP accounts effortlessly through the FTP Manager section. When you wish to set up a brand new account, to modify the password for an existing one or delete it completely, it will not take more than one click. As opposed to other Control Panels where you have to create a new FTP account in case you would like to be provided with access to a different folder, our FTP Manager will allow you to modify the access path for an active FTP account rather easily and you’ll be able to see the paths for all the accounts the moment you visit the FTP Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel. For your convenience, you can set up an FTP account on your PC by downloading and installing an auto-config file for various FTP client applications – CyberDuck, FileZilla, Core FTP. You can also arrange the accounts in ascending or descending order based on their usernames or access paths and find the one that you need easier and faster.

FTP Manager in Semi-dedicated Servers

Our semi-dedicated server accounts are administered via the simple-to-navigate, in-house built Hepsia hosting Control Panel. One of its sections, the FTP Manager, is dedicated to administering your FTP accounts and everything associated with them, so you’ll be able to manage all the accounts swiftly and seamlessly. It’ll take one single mouse click to create a brand new account, to delete an existing one or simply to edit its password. You can also see the complete list of all your FTP accounts in this section of the Control Panel and, for convenience’s sake, you can arrange them in alphabetical order – descending or ascending, either by username or by their access path. Modifying the path for a specific account is also incredibly easy – you’ll simply have to click on it and select the new directory in the pop-up window that will appear, so you won’t have to create a new account if you simply need to define what web files an existing account can access. You can also make use of auto-config files for popular FTP software apps like Core FTP and FileZilla.
